Who receives it
We are a record label. We know how to make a record and we have no idea how to rebuild a house, so the money goes to people who do. These are the organizations we are working through today. The list is open: as more comes in, more names show up here, and each one gets published before a transfer rather than after it.
20 years building and improving housing for families in Colombia. Prefabricated concrete houses with the Alcaldía de Cartagena in Pasacaballos, repairs to schools and community spaces, emergency supplies. They publish an annual report every year, which is rarer than it should be, and it is most of why they are our main channel.
A platform that routes a donation to one named person. If an organization cannot get to someone in time, we might send help this way instead. It is smaller and faster, and it cannot be audited the way a foundation can, which is exactly why we label it differently here.
This list will grow. We add an organization when the amount raised justifies it, and every addition shows up here alongside the transfer that went to it.
How often
We move the money weekly, for as long as this keeps running. Not when the campaign ends. Not when we hit some total. Every week, whatever came in that week, with nothing held back.
The only reason a week gets skipped is if the amount is smaller than the wire fee that would eat it. If that happens it rolls into the following week and the ledger says so, naming both weeks. A gap in the dates below is a gap we have to explain.
Money out
Nothing has been sent yet
Transfers go out weekly, from the first week there is money to move. Each one shows up here with its receipt: date, recipient, the amount in dollars, the amount in pesos that actually arrived, and what it paid for.
Until then, the figure above is money held and not yet moved. That is the honest state of it.
Why the numbers differ
Gross
19.90 × the number of sales. We do not publish this figure anywhere, because it is not money we can give away.
Net, the number on this page
Gross minus PayPal’s commercial transaction fee, which on an international sale this size runs to roughly 4–6% plus a fixed amount. We record whatever PayPal actually charged on each sale instead of an estimate, so this figure is exact.
Pesos that arrive
Smaller again. PayPal charges a currency-conversion spread when dollars come out as Colombian pesos, and that cost shows up nowhere in our sales data. So each transfer below lists both the dollars sent and the pesos received. The gap between them is that spread, and it is real.
If something here does not reconcile, tell us and we will correct it in public. A campaign built on a promise about money cannot afford a number nobody can check.
